Interview with Dr Khaled ElSherbini
Dr Khaled ElSherbini is the keynote speaker at the IEA Egypt 2024 conference and is the founder of The Consciousness Academy, the leading academy in the Middle East for consciousness, integral, and psycho-spiritual studies.

Khaled ElSherbini relates to type 5 and is a scientist and he launched the first Egyptian satellite and designed the first Egyptian wind turbine, a two megawatt turbine.
He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering, an MSc in Environmental Sciences.
But he also had an inner spiritual calling that led him to the Enneagram.
Dr. Khaled ElSherbini is an Integral and Transpersonal Psychologist, an Enneagram professional, an ICF PCC accredited coach, a Spiral Dynamics Integral professional and an MSc in Transpersonal Psychology.

The Enneagram is not an engineering equation – you have to listen and expand
Dr Khaled ElSherbini:
“The Enneagram is like a running river that’s always adding.

So from the very first beginning of our foundational courses, I ask people to listen to different teachers, to be exposed to different teachings from different heritages.
And that would be my encouragement to the beginners, to realize that this is not an engineering equation that you will understand, solve some questions, and now you understand the human being. It doesn’t work that way.
So listen, expand.”
Future wish: The heart of humanity
Flemming Christensen: What is your wish for the future students of the Enneagram?
Dr Khaled ElSherbini:
“One of my advanced teachings I call the heart of the Enneagram. And that’s when we touch the heart of the type, the heart of the model itself. It’s about, again, being human. And I have, let’s say, a double wish here.
The wish for the people who are in the Enneagram world is to really touch the heart of the Enneagram so that the Enneagram can move from heart to heart, not from mouth to mouth, not from head to head, but really from heart to heart.
And the second wish is that it moves from so many hearts to so many hearts, that it becomes at the heart of humanity itself. That it becomes like a core teaching, even for little children, even for teenagers, even for people getting married, even for friends. It becomes at the heart of humanity.
It touches the heart of humanity itself.”
